Hey I am trying to force the cursor to be shifted to a new record on a subform, the event that calls this is also within another subform on the same parent form. All of these forms are unboud and therefore no parent child relationships are able to be defined.

The problem I have is when the subform event attempts to move the cursor to the other subform it says that the form is not open. I have tried setting the focus to the other subform before attempting to create new record but it still tells me that the form is not open. Any help????

cheers Andi

How are you refering to the sub form when you set focus? Remember to refer to it as a sub form and not a form, like

Forms![MainForm]![Subform].Form![SubformControl].Setfocus

Hope that helps,
ChaZ

It is still telling me that the subform is not open. Cant seem to get it to shift the focus at all.
