Problem Creating Shortcut

Hi There,

I am a "developing" .NET programmer, actually very new. I am trying to do something very simple, create a shortcut on my desktop using VB. I keep getting a unhandled exception error. Can anyone help me. Hopefully, in not too long I will be able to help you!

I have been trying to use VB.NET to have an application create a shortcut of itself on the desktop. Could you please tell me how you were able to get your problem solved? Thanks!

I suggest going to

and downloading this resource kit. It takes you through step by step of how to do this. Alot of the examples and tutorials, including what your looking for, are in .avi files that you can actually watch and see how to do it. Its helped me out alot. Good Luck!
