Greetings... I laid a couple of solid color mattes 1 white & 1 Black by using the New item tab in project window then color matte... I placed themside by side on my timeline Video 1 and placed the image mask transition on the edit point between them. The image mask settings dialogue box then opens and I try to use the select image button. The issue is it is not finding my color mattes in the folder that they are in. In fact I cannot select any image out of any of the files in the project. It just shows the generic 1.5 folders with nothing in them and nothing relating to the project at all. Your help is greatly appreciated!

The Image Mask transition works with external image files. Supported file types are given on the file selection screen during the transition setup process.

Premiere's timeline mattes are internal instructions that Premiere uses to create mattes on the fly, so there is no related image file for the Image Matte to use.

Using the image mask transition with full-screen mattes is unlikely to be very rewarding, so you might want to experiment with shapes instead.

Make them in PhotoShop or similar or, as a last resort, create a title frame and export that from Premiere as a bitmap.

Thank you for the assistance. I was using solid screens trying to get the functionality down. I appreciate your help!
