We have about 45 users connected to an exchange 5.5 on NT 4 through Outlook 2000 via win98. Up until last week, when I looked into the Server>private information store>logons, I could see every person connected 3 times (3 entries) and I thought this was normal. We did not have a problem people getting their email and using Outlook at a normal speed. We gave last week 5 users new computers that came with win98 and Outlook 2002. These new users show loged in 1 time only. Right from the very beginning, they started having problems with speed. I don't know if it is normal to have the cute little window that reads something like: "Outlook is retrieving information, please wait" every five or ten minutes. They also get constant: "Outlook has performed an illegal operation and will shut down" when I click on details, it says GPF in KRNL386.exe.
Has anyone come up with this kind of problem that can help me out, or is Outlook 2002(10.2627.2625) just brain dead? Click.
