printing

i have just installed the latest patches to an NT4 Workstation and now it can't print. not even a test page.

the print job briefly appears in the printer queue but nothing prints out.

any help would be appreciated 'cos i'm tired of putting all these patches on, especially as this is a patch to patch the last patch!!!!!!!!!

What patches did you apply? Have you reinstalled the print driver? If not, delete it, shut down the computer, power off the printer, recheck your cable connections, and reload it...

BTW, I've found reapplying SP6a in situations like this also helps, but backup any data first... I don't want a post that says "matt, i did what you said, now i have a bsod."

Just a stab in the dark:
Is it going to your LPT1: port when you want it going to a network printer??? Check the printer settings.

i have re-installed the driver but it still dind't work. if i use a diffrent deskjet drive it works fine.
