HI

A few month ago I asked for a help because I had problems to print a report.

Two friendly programmes told me what to do but it didn't work

I program a report. ok?

I execute... and it works perfectly most of the times I execute it on my PC... But not always. From time to time it does the same at my computer that on my client's printers does...

It prints what I want to print but... Miniature!

It happens on HP printers (mine is HP) and ALWAYS on a Canon. And causes disasters on old Epson (not ink ject Printers)

However I have a client that has an HP and there it works perfectly although I didn't do what programmers told me to do...

I excluded .FRX files from the executable. I put a copy of those files on my client's machine so that the setup of my client's printers could register to the report... I replaced expr, tag and tag2 in the first record of the FRX files by program...

I tried EVERYTHING they advice me.. BUT IT DIDN´T WORK

I resisted of believeing them but I did what they told me...

I don't know what to do... On my own printer doesn't have logic... It happens from time to time not always... Most times works well...

No matter HP, Canon or Epson... I have to take to my client a printed report so that they believe me I worked and I could make it up...

Anyone can help me, please????

Thank you :)

Daniel,
What version and service pack of VFP are you running? What OS are you developing on and under what OS(s?) is it failing?

Rick

Rgbean

VFP 5.0

My PC

W98 - HP = OK most times, sometimes miniature

One Client

WME - HP = OK

Other

WME - Epson = OK

WME - Laser = OK

Other

WME - Canon = Always Miniature

Another

W95 - HP = Always Miniature

W95 - Epson = Inappropiate font (Big)

Both selected. Not default printer

Thank you

Daniel

Because you didn't indicate SP 3 for VFP 5.0, I'm going to suggest that it's the first thing to "fix". I believe there was a documented printer preview problem that was fixed in SP 1 or 2. You can still download the Visual Studio 97 (5.0) updates at - for just VFP, you need the CORE set of files. I don't believe you can still order this CD - MS lists VFP 5.0 as no longer supported as of June 2003 ([ln];LifeDevToolFam).

Thank you, Rick

I did what you adviced me and I realy hope this will help me...

Daniel

Excuse me, Rick... But I don't Understand what you mean

As you can see my English is not very good.

Thank you

Daniel

Daniel,
Your English is very good - especially compared to my non-English. If it's the "Note:" on Apr 9, 2000 you don't understand, I was just pointing out that the link I provided earlier was "broken".

If you have another question, please post back.
