I have a laserjet 5si networked on a Windows 2000 network. The printer driver and setup reside on a windows 2000 server. I have a user who is printing from Word 2000 and having a issue with the printer pausing. In a large document the print job will pause between every two pages. This issue seems to be sparatic.
Any info would be great.
Thanks.

I'm making a guess here. I also have a Win2K network, and my HP's are 4si's. One issue that I found that caused the printers to pause between pages is not enough printer memory.

To check this, print out a test page to see how much memory is installed. On the 4si's, the base amount of memory is 4 Megs. (I don't know what it is for 5si's). I found some cheap used memory on Ebay and installed it, and it fixed the "pause between pages on Word printouts" problem.

Hope this helps,

Doug D.
