Help, I'm currently trying to tackle a users problem in printing. When the user prints a certain Excel file (about 1 page full of colours and images) I get this error message - Your file could not be printed due to an error on \\servername\printername on ne02:. There are several possible reasons:

There may not be enough memory available. Try closing files and programs that you arn't using.

If you use a network for printing, there may be problems with the network connection or the printer driver

I have emailed the document to others and they have been able to print it out fine. The user is able to print out other excel documents fine (one being a simular document with colour) The user has 256Mb ram, only a couple of programs open and big enough paging file. I have re-installed the printer drivers with no avail.
any ideas. Thanks, RichyD

I encountered a similar problem the other week. The user, using win98, was printing an excel document that was quite large. She was able to print all other docs fine. The error I kept on seeing was "Not enough memory".

I found out in the end, that she was printing using a win95 print driver for the printer. I re-installed the printer with the correct win98 drivers and it printed fine.

You may want to check to make sure that the drivers are the correct ones....

Hope this helps mot98:)

All the computers are running Windows 2000 with the drivers running from the print server. Everyone here uses the same drivers. I'll try and manuelly install the drivers to see if this resolves anything. Thanks

What version of Excel are you running? If it is office 97, then you will also want to make sure that you have installed the service packs for it..SR-1 and SR-2. mot98:)
