I setup a query with the info that I wanted on the label. I then went through the labels wizard under reports and set all of that up. Once that was done I went into the printer settings (its a dot matrix) and set the custom paper size to the size of the label in windows and in access. I don't know what the difference is. It works fine the rest of the day, but the next day it will print the first label perfect and then the printer will skip anywhere between 1 and 3 blank labels before it prints the next one. It is the same printer settings - I have triple checked that! Its an Okidata Microline 320. I am stumped.

I think you need to store the setting in the OkiDATA permanently. Most printers have a “use until the power is off” and a "Burn info in the ROM” setting so it remembers it after the power is off.

Look in the manual for a way to save the settings permanently.

I checked in the owner's manual and on the OkiData website and I did not find any instruction on how to "Burn info into the ROM" setting.
