Hi

I have just printed an email from a colleague. I have changed nothing, and my emails now print, with the margin in too far, and so it cuts off the first letter on every line....

Is there a set margin the emails should to print? Or is there another solution?

Are you sure that the paper feed in the printer is setup correctly? Stupid question I know but you woun't believe the number of times I've ruined manuals because of that.

After that open up the email on screen and check the margins in print preview>page setup mine are set to 1.3cm for all of the page.

Good luck

MAny thanks for that, unfortunatley, when I open the email on the screen and go to print preview, the margins are set to 6mm, so I change them....

The problem being it still prints the page like I have an indent and misses of the first couple of letters on my email?

Can you help any further? It is like the default is set to 6mm

Hi wood1e,
Sorry about the late reply but I've been off the net all day training.
I'm not sure what exactly sure where the problem is arising from but I'll have a look into it tonight or tomorrow.

For the time being can you try copying the email over to word and printing it from there?

Also double check your printer and insure that the problem is'nt coming from that. I take it that you haven't had any problems printing with your other applications?

Slán.

Wood1e,

Just a few more things you could let me know about.

1. What print style are you using, its normally memo for outlook. To find out go to file>print>and on your printer menu check the style in use.

2. Go back to print preview in outlook and can you see what paper type your using, the width and height and size of the paper, you'll find all these setting above the margin settings.

I'm aware that there may be some regional differences but we'll see what we can do.

Comboy.
