Up until recently I was able to print a copy of sent messages that had attachments, and It would show the name of the attached file on the message header. Now I can't. Does anyone know how to turn that feature on?

Please help. Thank You.

Maybe something under the view menu has changed?

I too am running Outlook 2002 and having the same problem that gsr984dr reported back in Nov 2003 - printed messages, with attachments, do not show the name of the attached file on the message header. I checked the View menu and have searched Outlook's help file to no avail. Would anyone know how to turn the feature on?

gsr984dr,

If you are still out there and looking for an answer to this problem I have an answer - it might not be the best answer but, it is a solution the problem.

I believe the problem resides with the Mail Format setting you are using. From the main menu in Outlook, go to Tools\Options\ and click on the Mail Format Tab. Look at the setting for Message Format. You will most likely see that it is set for "HTML" - which is the default setting.

Change the setting to "Rich Text". Then close and re-open Outlook and send yourself a test message with an attached file. When you receive the message, highlight it and select File\Print Preview from Outlooks main menu. You should now see the attachment and will be able to print the message with the name of the file. I hope you find this helpful.
