Printing background fills in word?

Some people want to print background fill effects in word 2000 but when they print preview the background doesn't show up. I'm pretty sure this is as this facility is for electronic docs only and not designed to be printed.

Can anyone confirm this for me?

Hi Teamaker,
You are correct - it is for electronic docs only and does not print - which is why you wouldn't see it in Print Preview.
