I have 2 domains, one 2003 and one NT4.0. The NT domain contains one server running D3 for Pick. I have a 2 way trust set between the Domains.

D3 needs to print to an XP Pro workstation in the 2003 Domain. Problem is D3 uses the NT System account when printing. The XP machine will not allow access to the printer. I have given full access to the everyone group and added the system account for the NT server. Nothing so far has worked. Any suggestions?

Create a username/password identical to the account used on the NT4 station on your XP box that you need to print to.

The NT server is using the System account to print from D3. Doesn't the XP box already have a system account? I also have no idea what the password would be for that account. I believe that is set by NT itself and changes over time.

OK, so you were right, I added the system account for the NT server to the users on the XP machine, and it worked.

Sorry I doubted you!

Sometimes I tend to over think a problem.
