Printer showing current date in lower-left corner

Trying to print an email from Outlook. When I print, either to a printer (any run o' the mill HP or Dell) or to Acrobat Distiller, it shows the current date in the bottom lefthand corner. Trying to figure out how to eradicate this but don't see any setting in print preferences. Any ideas?

Hi,

I have outlook 2002.

File > Print

A box appears which shows print styles memo and table and also shows which printer.

Click Page setup and select header/footer tab!

hey, Kelley. Thanks for the post. Yeah, that is helpful I went in there before and didn't see that. I think that would be great but when I open the email, I don't get the options for "Memo or table". I only get that from the main Outlook "File | Page Setup" view. Any clue why?

oh not sure, didn't realise that.

I have preview pain on mine so when i print I always print from the main rather than opening the email up.

I figured out that this does not happen with plain text and rich text emails. It's only with emails in html format. you can go to "page setup" from the File menu and select "Memo Style" and there's a place there for "header" and "footer" but they are blank. I understand that, normally, you can insert "&D" and it will print out the current date but mine seems to be defaulting to that setting even when nothing is there! *heavy sigh* OK, here's where I go searching again.

I've gotta go now, just a quick thought html emails are opened/created with MS Word? perhaps that might be worth looking into.
