Printer scans, copies but won't print

I have a Lexmark 73 all in one printer. When I*use it to scan or copy it works fine, but when i go to print, you can hear teh carriage going back and forth but the paper comes out blank. Any ideas? I am using Win XP. It worked fine before.

Hi,

If your cartridge is spinning up chances are the printer is fine. Basically it spins to lay down the "foundations" of the print job and then doesn't need to lay any toner.

My guess will be that the print margins on your printer have for some reason changed; have you installed any other printers or new software recently?

If you go in to print and check the margins, let me know if this has any effect?

This is likely a VIA USB chipset issue. There are patches for the VIA chipset:
