Hi,

I am using NT workstation 4.0, When i install local printer at lpt 1. and send a test page , it print this page at network printer not at local printer.
can any body help me

hmmmm i know in win 9x that for dos compatability you can bind a network address to lpt ports, and that will overwrite any local printers. there should be a ports button or list somewhere in the printer properties. make sure it isnt bound to a network adress.

just so you know i know win9x and nt 4 server never touched workstation.

Is the LPT port mapped to the network printer through the DOS command line? Check with the following.
NET USE /LPT
