I have setup HP local printer with admintool and prtmgr
Name: unixprt1
Server: <local system>
Description: Laserjet4
Print Port: /dev/term/a
Type: HP Printer
File Contents: Any
Options: Default Printer
Users: all
OK
and it does not work. Jobs will start if i test with cat /etc/hosts but nothing goes to the printer. How do I determine my priner port?
Thanks,
Mitch

I use the parallel port and have the device setup as '/dev/ecpp0'. I believe that '/dev/term/a' is the 25 pin serial port (on my ultra 10s)

Ross,

Thanks for the help. Working like a charm.. Solaris book is completely wrong.
