Printer messages 1

I have an NT 4.0 server with Win98, 2000 Pro and NT workstation machines connected to it. They all share a HP Laser 5 that is connected and shared on the server. When any machine prints ALL machines get the printer notification messages. How can I turn off just the printer messages ?

Turn off the "messenger" service. That should do ya! -= Beer is food! Is it suppertime? =-

HI.

At the server, go to the Printer folder.
From the File menu, select Server Properties.
Disable the notification.
Stop and Start the Spooler service from the Services applet (or restart the server) for the change to take effect.
