I'm on a nt4.0 network. When I try to browse for a printer on another netowork (we have trust relationships ), none of the other networks are available, but I can log on another win98 pc here and browse to the printer like normal.

From this bad pc I can ping the server where the printer is installed. I ended up going to start, run, and put in \\servername\share and installed the printer.

Why can't do browse in the printer setup from this pc? The pc has an lmhost file too with all the correct info.

I've seen this on a windows 2000 pc here but not 98???

Is WINS set up on the server? I'd assume it is, since it's an NT 4.0 server.. but just want to double check.

Yes, it's setup.

There is something that I'm overlooking and I can't figure it out why this pc was acting like this. I can't physically look at it since I'm not there.

Any suggestions. The printer is setup now, but I want to know what this person couldn't browse to the printer.
