I have a printing problem. I have a hp deskjet 812c. I have it connected by the usb and every time I send a document to the printer it says " this document failed to print". Even though it says that, it does print fine, its just a pain getting that error. Any advice would be most helpful. I'm thinking software, I have deleted and reinstalled. I have windows xp, and it started when I moved my printer I think.
Thanx in advance.

Make sure that there are no USB problems in Device Manager.

If things are ok there, then connect the printer to a different USB port(if one is available).

If no luck, then try a different USB cable.

If still no luck, then consider installing a USB PCI card.

I will do that now thank you. Which would be better a hub or a pci usb card?

An external powered USB hub with at least 4 ports will give you more flexibility than a USB PCI card.

But if your problem is being caused by your existing internal USB root hub or controller, then installing an external hub will not fix it.

I suggest installing the latest drivers from HP's website.
