Printer created but will not print

Running Metaframe 1.8. The client has a network printer (call it XX01) defined and a local printer defined. Citrix auto creates both printers. When printing is directed to the network printer nothing ever prints. When the client prints to the local printer or other network printers everything prints okay. Other clients are using the same network printer (XX01) and everything works fine.

Printer has been deleted and reinstalled from the user with the problem several times to no avail.

No event logs show problems.

Any ideas?

Have you granted permissions to their user name on this printer? Sometimes group privileges aren't enough.

I normally set the Everyone Group to have everything but Full Control for the spool directory and all it's child files & folders.

Further information:
The client can print to the printer via other applications when not accessing via Citrix.
EVERYONE has rights to print and manage documents.

Carl, try doing the same thing for the user as you do for the everyone group. (Use their network ID) I have seen some strange things like this under various situations.

Nothing in your event logs on the Citrix box, I assume?
