On my Nt4.0 Server I need to setup a 8.5"x7.0" form on my printer but there is not one listed for it. So I get as far as inside the printer window where you can see all your printers. I click on file, server properties, I check mark create a new form, I give the form a description, then down below I put in the size and click Save form.
Here's where the problem is:
Now when I right click on my printer and go to properties, then device settings, then in the box towards the bottom (change setting) I should be able to see the new form I created, but its not showing up.
I do the same thing on my WindowsXP pro machine and it shows up fine and I can change it. There must be some extra steps on the older OS's that I am missing. What am I doing wrong? Does anyone know how I can accomplish this?
Thanks in advance.

Possible cause is that the form is greater than NT thinks the printer can use. Try a smaller size form & see if that appears in the list.

Could be you need to install a service pack - see article no Q157848 on the microsoft technet website.

Best of luck

That was it. I used a 8.00" instead of 8.50" and it showed up and worked. Thank you
