I have a report that is too big to fit on one page however
since I use the CanShrink setting..everything always is able to shrink to fit..but it still prints out a second page every time that is blank.

Can I write a macro or something that makes it only print the first page? like print from page 1 to 1.?

I can do it when I select print... from the file menu but I' looking for a dummy proof way so the people using my database dont have to worry about it.

Thanks.

Why don't you try going to the design view of the report then making sure that you don't have any lines or labels that extend past the expected width of the report. Also check to see if you have extra design area over to the right of the report that you don't need.

Just a thought...

Have a happy 4th

See printout method under access help

DoCmd.PrintOut [printrange][, pagefrom, pageto][, printquality][, copies][, collatecopies]

should get you started

Thanks I think PrintOut will do it..but is there any way to override the little printer button on the toolbar so that when you click it it calls my own PrintOut method?
