Print lines on Query O/P

The queries run OK and look OK in print preview BUT when they print there are no lines on the output. I know this is a setting in Access, as it happened to a client about 5 years ago - but I can't find the solution.
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
Tools/Options/Datasheet Tab; Default Gridlines Showing. Set both check boxes on.
