print dialog in report form xxx preview is gone at 1 user site

Hi all,

I am having a problem and was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this for me.

I have a VFP application (written in version 6.0 SP3) running at a few dozen sites. One of them, over the last few days, has lost access to the print dialog box whenever they run a report. The reports comes up on the screen fine, but no print dialog appears so they cannot print. All the reports in the exe are launched as "Report form xxxx preview" and none of the other sites are experiencing the same problem.

This same site also has been attempting to install printer drivers. I am fairly sure they started messing around with the printer drivers before this problem came up. I resolved the printer problem (they have an HP1100 a) and reinstalled the VFP related dll files that I originally put on their system, thinking that they may have been affected by their downloading and installing printer drivers.

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice regarding this?

Hi

I suggest you trace the Foxuser.* files from the users computer and delete them.. all of them.. could be in the startup directory.. could be in the users personal setup directories..

Then to avoid such problems, make foxuser.* (probably copied from another proper users computer OR after achieveing what you need) kept in the startup directory with R attribute set, so that you dont get into this problem again.
