I have a 61c with a pri which was dropping calls. I replaced it. It turns out problem was on far end. I decided to put back the old card, but when I did the system crashed. I made sure to dis dch in ld 96, dis msdl in ld 48,disl l in ld 60 & card was toggled to dis when replacing. Now mmail will not reboot & every time I put a new card in I drop the switch. This is a call center.

I mean dead in the water. I did man re-start per our tech support group. Everything is working except mmail.

Make shure that the old cards msdl daughterboard has no address conlict with existing device (tty, dch, aml).

That could explain the problems with mail.

How do I check address of dtr board when it knocks down the switch as soon as the card is replaced?

If you hold the card in your hands, you should be able to see the dip switches. Thats normaly the moment before you plug the card into your system.

For the right dippsetting see NTP circuit card installation and testing.

The setup of all the other devices should be printed out in LD 22.

Is it a DPRI or a DDP card?

either that (1st thing i would check) are ld 60 ssck 0, make sure your not clocking off of the card you unplugged. might cause a problem.. software should switch when you disl, but check anyway.. the dch has a switch setting for device number, a conflict double assigns an interupt, not a good thing

Thanks guys, as you have probably figured out by now,I am learning as I go. I will be back on site later on today & will let you know outcome.

I moved the pri card to shelf 1 & built new loops. It is working fine now. I'm guessing slot 5 in shelf 0 was damaged when I replaced the card.
