Hello friends,

How can I find out if the channels on my PRi are set up in ascending or descending order.

Thanks in advance as always.

There are two types of search strings, linear and round robin. For your question, A linear hunt starts at the highest numbered member and moves to the lowest (decending). You can change this if you want, simply by re-numbering your members in whatever order you want, but the system will ALWAYS work in decending order.

Hope this helps,

Scott M.

by design your outbound call starts on the last trunk. it can keep hitting the last vacant trunk or run up the line(rrb).. we have the inbound set up to start from the top down and usually set up the switch to use outbound from the bottom out. that helps prevent glare. inbound call being answered via someone that just dial 9 plus.. that's not a major concern now due to the speed of pri. back in the analog days it caused problems..
