pri a lost 2

Have a mics with xc 6.1 software. loop card in slot 4 and ti is slot 3 combo card slot 2. has a PRI in it but I do not have the software keys so do not want to cold start or retemplate. the issue is I have busy out both cards, took out the loop card, moved the t1 card to slot 4 reset line data but when i go into line on each extension, I do not get an option for pri A, get B_C_D 1-23 but no A. have match up the system to another working 6.1 on all programing under services and system programming but seem not to get pri a to come up and this is on two cabinets from the same source. (purchase off ebay). trying not to lose the pri codes and reprogam. also came with 5 digit dn and changeing to 4 digit. not an issue. just the pri A kicking my butt...any suggestion.

Try changing slot 4 to T1, let the system reconfigure, then change back to PRI to see if the PRI-A pool shows up.

Go to Hardware and if you don't see the PRI option for the card then the keycodes needs to be re-entered.

tried reset slot 4 to a t1 and loop. lines come up right 1-24 and 1-4 as programed. but then busy out card and go back in with PRI and the same thing. line type pri but no pri A.... pri B 1-23, c and d are my only choices under lines. have turned off mics, reset cards, but this is happening on both mics with the same software. have gone thru and reset all data fields for route, dailing plans, system programs, but no pri A. line pool will have Pri A choice but not the line assigment. can I still use pri B 1-23 in the slot 4 and get the same results as pri A in slot 4. doesn't seem to change the target lines. Just trying to make this simple. and yes I still have the PRI option under hardware.

Ok I think I understand what your trying to do. You are under Lines and trying to put them into a Pool right? You can not do that with a PRI, you need to build a Rout and Desti code to use the PRI circuit not Line Pools.

There are pools for PRI channels. The default is PRI-A. PRI-B, PRI-C and PRI-D are also available. It might be that the first PRI card has to be in slot 4 to designate as PRI-A, and slot 3 defaults to PRI-B.

Guys, please read my last thread. no problems with the pool, have the choice of PRI A. but if I go to TESRMINAL AND SETS, LINE ACCESS, LINE ASSIGNMENT, L001-023 SHOW PRI B. NO OPTION FOR PRI A, also have pri c and d as options. what is the down side if I select or leave PRI B programmed and leave the T-1 card in slot 4. and do I also select PRI B under line pool.

I also think these cabinets where connected together. they came out of schools in Denver, and I have never seen some of the set up options on the pri that are in these mics or the rounting tables. but all that programming is back to default for the most part.

You can't assign PRI channels to sets under line assignment. You can only go to Line Access/Line Pool Access and allow sets access to the PRI pools.

I agree, not doing channels, showing the lines 1-23 normally will show pri A for every line 1-23. I do not have that option just PRI B< C <D. have found out that these mics were set up as private networks protcal set for SL-1. lines 1-4 set for loop in slot 4 and PRI A set for lines 31-53 for slot 3 with the T-1 card. but even after I disable the card,put two T-1 cards in for slot 3 and 4 and reset them for lines 1-23 for slot 4 and 25-51 for slot 3. under lines I still do not have a option for PRI A. Just b, c, d. need a new set of eyes to look at this. have done several PRI and never ran into this.

Try this if your not using lines 31-53 for the private network anymore then change that card type to something else in Hardware. If you are using it then go under line programming and show line 31 then change it to PRI-B that should free up PRI-A for your lines 1-23. I just set this up on a test switch and if I had a Private networked PRI set to PRI A, B, C, or D under lines then I could not assign any other PRI's to whatever that one was set to. It would skip over it just like what's happening to you.

Hawk, that did it, went back in to hardware and change to PRI for slot 3 then selected SL-1 profile, select private nework 3 ( 1 or 2 did not change anything, go figue) then when back to lines and saw PRI A for the first time. wow lot of hours in this rework. change slot 4 to PRI 1-23 and apply and under lines, PRI A was default to PRI A. Thanks for your time. knew that I was not crazy........saved my PRI

On doing the other cabinets, looks like after the card is set back to prviate network and then making card 4 a pri and then going back to card 3 and changing it to a T-1 card, under lines the pri a finaly comes up. so both you and exsmogger are right.
