I have a situation where I would like to "mine" the database as I enter information to see if I have previously made contact. I would like this fuction to be a "on the fly" type of function where as I enter the information it "looks" for other contacts and pulls up that information for me.

Which program and version are you using?

Hi,

It sounds as if you are wanting to use the "Autolookup" feature. For example, if you are entering information into a primary field of a form such as a "name", "social security #", "memberID", etc. -- if data already exists in association with this field it will automatically fill in the subsequent fields (i.e., "address", "city", "state", phone)with the pre-entered data.

If this is the type of action you are trying to create, then "Autolookup" is the feature/tool you want to use.

I hope this helps, if I can be of further assistance, please respond.

Angelica :)
