Preventing Roamiing Profile Update

Does anyone know of a way to turn off the automatic updating of roaming profiles? Here's the scenario: I want to use a single server-based profile for all users. When the user logs off I want to avoid updating the profile. If I change the permissions for the profile to read only, then the update failure message appears. I don't want a message. I don't want an update, and I don't want to have to install the profile in the default user for every machine. On NT 4 the read only permissions worked because the failure didn't throw up a warning message. Ideas anyone? I'd be happy just to turn off the message. You would think such a thing would show up somewhere in the group policies but I can't find it.

Change your roaming profile to a mandatory profile by renaming the hidden file ntuser.dat to ntuser.man

Each username has an ntuser.dat file associated with it. After renaming the profile to ntuser.man, users can change away while they're logged on but no changes are saved to the profile after logging off.

Duhhh! Thanks for the reminder. I knew about this but somehow shelved it in the back of my mind. With AD I was expecting to look for a more complicated solution, or at least something in the group policy. I appreciate your help.
