Prevent mail to invalid Active Directory Users 1

I have seen in several posts a gateway server stopping mail directed to invalid recipients. Without a gateway server is there a way to set this up in Exchange System Manager? We also still get mail for deleted AD users.

Not sure if you can run an event sync or not. Regardless, they get dumped into your badmail folder, so just clean that out periodically.

I'm Certifiable, not certified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.
