I am trying to reboot a server after the backup is completed by using a batch file but the post command runs after the backup and reboots while the verify is about to start is there an option to get round this????

Thanks

heheh, I had a script doing the same thing and it always said backup failed cause the server reboot because of the script and Veritas thought it didn't finish..when it really did. I found no way around this unfortunately :(

PING 1.1.1.1 -n 1 -w 7200000 >NUL <<hangs for 2hrs
shutdown -r -f -c "Rebooting"

pings a invalid IP for 2hrs then performs the shutdown, but the verify doesnt start due to the machine shutting down

thanks
