Hi,
We have recently installed our S8500 and we're trying to access the Media Server via PPP over a dial-up.
We added a user with Remote rights; after the modem does the initial handshake, it prompts you for the username/password.
Once entered in the terminal box, it accepts the information and displays gibberish on screen. At this point, we click "Done" and the terminal box goes away.
Afterwards, it shows you "Verifying Username and Password" - a Windows message and then it says "It cannot register you onto the Domain dues to bad username or password"
From my S8700 experience, when you click "Done", the box minimizes and the PPP session is now established. Afterwards, you basically bringup ASA with the Customer Network Media Server address with port 5023 and you are in DEFINITY.
Can anyone tell me how I can get this running? Is there a command in the Linux somewhere that I need to start the PPP host?
Thanks!
John
