The PowerQuest program "Drive Image 7.0" will not start up
When the program is started, the initial spash screen is displayed, and then removed. Just after the main window is displayed, an error dialog comes up that displays the error, "Catastrophic failure (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8000FFFF (E_UNEXPECTED).
After that error is cleared by clicking on the "OK" button, a menu comes up in the column on the left side of the app that provides two choices. One choice "Deploy Agent" is disabled, and the other choice is "Reconnect".
If the Reconnect menu item is selected, the same error message as the one that is initially dsplayed is put up again. I can't get the program to go beyond this point.
Attempted fixes, that didn't work:
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program
I downloaded and installed the latest .NET upgrades.
I have verified that the V2i Protector Service has a valid username and password.
It is currently using the machine local administrator account.
I have also verified that the V2i Protector Service is running.
I have verified that the V2i configuration program has valid entries as well.
Thanks, Jean
