I have a slide with a series of Control text boxes on it (from the control toolbar - so you can view the properties). These are automatically updated through VB from an excel data file....

My problem is this -

Tha background style for these boxes is transparent, and
when you are looking at the slide view - they do appear to
be transparent.... However - if you run the slide show...
doh!! the backgrounds are white!!!
Why is this? Is it a bug with Powerpoint? Or can someone
help me out....??

I can mail you an attachment of the file if it will help to understand.....

Sounds strange. What version of PP are you using? Happy to take a look at it: hasitbakhda@yahoo.co.uk

Crimper, I have sent you an email response. Basically, there is a problem but I cannot find anything to suggest that it has either been reported or fixed.

One option to get around this is to create the chart and choose the option to float the values above each bar, rather than create them in the way you have using VB.

Another way is to create a text box and manually enter the value for each column on the chart. This I know works, because I created one, and in slideshow mode, it looks perfect.
