I am brand new to Powerpoint and seem to have figured it out pretty well, but I want to make one change that I can't figure out (actually, one time I did this by error, but don't know how to re-do it)...anyway, I am using the "Dad's Tie" template, my slides are landscape, the tie goes along the left hand side....I want it to go across the middle. How can I do this? Like I said, I accidently did it once, so I know it can be done.

Thx,

Jeanie

View, Master, Slide Master, pick up the tie with left omuse button and place it whereever you like.

Thanks...I didn't know how to do that, however, when I make that change it changes all of the slides....I only want to change a few of the slides - is that possible?

what u r asking can be done, but the long way around.

Create a new presentation with a blank slide. Apple Dad's tie to the presentation. Go to view, Master, slide master and move the tie where you want it.

Go to File, Save as, and under "Save as type" find Windows Metafile (*.wmf) and give the file a name. Make sure u know where this file is located (that is, drive, folder etc).

Them when u want to use this, u have to go to Format, Background, and check "Omit background graphic from master"

Then, go to Insert, Picture, From File and select the WMF file that u had saved.
