You could use it to list the macros available and then remove them if you wish. Kinda doesn't answer the question of why its happening, but may help you get over the problem.

When you are trying to remove them, how do you do that? Have you tried hitting Alt-F11 to delete the code? Brainbench MVP for Microsoft Word
