I have a 20 slide PowerPoint Presentation, and i would like to have a footer at the bottom that in includes number of the slides, except on the title slide. I inserted Slide numbers on the slide, but it always counts the title slide, is there a way to turn it off.

Thanks in advance
Stephen

OK, do the following:

1. Click on VIEW-HEADER/FOOTER
2. Select SLIDE NUMBER, FOOTER and DON'T SHOW ON TITLE SLIDE check boxes
3. Click on OK

Then:

4. click on FILE, PAGE SETUP.
5. On "NUMBER SLIDES FROM" option, type in "0" (zero)
6. Click on OK.

You will then have a title slide, with no number, and an auto incrementing slide deck starting from physical slide 2, which should show "1" as the slide number.
