I'm running Office Xp on WIndows Xp and have a large presentation that I need to print out, but when I try to print it, the footers do get printed out. I've tried printing from different computers and to different printers with no luck. Is there something I'm missing?

Greetings. I am not quite sure what you have been trying to print, slides, handouts, etc. Also, I am only familiar with 2000, but I have run into this problem before. There are a couple primary things that come to mind as possible problems. The first thing you should do is to check your master slide on the view menu. Is the footer appearing in the correct position? If not, that is your problem. Move it into the correct position.

If it is, are you using pictures as a background? If you are, the image is probably covering up the footer. To remedy this, insert the picture into a blank presentation. Then save that presentation as a .pot file. When you return to your existing presentation, remove the picture that you have as your background. Next, choose that design template that you just created. Your footers shouldn't be a problem after taking this step.
