I have a user with two seperate PP presentations, lets call them A and B

A is a new one they are creating and B is an exisiting one they have already made. Both have there own unique backgrounds and themes.

The question is this: This user wants to insert slides from their PP B file into A, while keeping all of B's background and theme. Is this possible?

Thanks. (sorry for a repost if this has been answered before)

Hello Ash57,
I do not know what version of PPT you have...b/c the answer does make somewhat of a difference.

For all versions of PPT, you go to Insert, Slides from File and select all slide.

With PPT XP (2002) you can have multiple backgrounds, but you cannot ahve multiple backgrounds for PPT 97.

We are running Office 2000, sorry for not including that in my original post.

I will try what you suggested.

Thanks.

Here is the strange thing. We would put a new slide in her new presentation and tell it not to apply the master background. We would do the insert slide from file, find the one we wanted from her other presenation select ok and it would insert the slide, however it still would apply the master background to the blank slide we inserted into.

Im not sure why this is happening. So my fix was to save the file as a JPEG and just insert it into the presentation that way. Then resize it to cover the whole slide, works ok as a fix.
