I would like to be able to insert bookmarks into various parts of a powerpoint presentation. Then I would like to assign hotkeys to these bookmarks...

example...

section 1 begins at page 1
section 2 begins at page 13
section 3 begins at page 27

i can hit <control> & <2> and it jumps to section 2

The reason for this is...I won't have know what pages these sections begin at....just what section i need to jump to...

Does anybody have any ideas on how I could go about this.

Thanks

There is no way that I know of in PowerPoint to do that. I know PowerPoint very well. However, there may be a way in VBA so perhaps you can create a macro. I don't think I would be much help with that, except to tell you how to start the macro. But I would imagine that this would take a little VBA. Good luck, Dawn

Rather than hotkeys, which as dawnd3 has said are not possible, have you considered Hyperlinks?

Set up your hyperlink to jump from one page to the next in any order you wish, so once setup, you don't need to remember the sequence of pages you need to go to, just that you need to click on the hyperlink and it will take you there.

To setup a hyperlink, type out a link word (anything you want), highlight it, and then click on INSERT->HYPERLINK.

Choose the second browse button at the bottom and select the slide you want to go to.

When you are in slideshow, clicking on the link will take you to the selected slide.
