PowerPlay cube categories not ordered correctly

Using Cognos Transformer 7.0, I am using multiple sources in a particular model. The resulting cube has the categories in several of the dimensions not in the proper sequence even though I have specified the order in the "Order By" tab under Properties. The categories in the diagram of the model are in the correct sequence, but in the resulting cube they are not. Any help would be appreciated.

I have tried re-generating the categories several times. They always come out in the incorrect order in the cube even though the diagram in the model has them ordered correctly.

be sure all of your properties regarding this order in connection to the category is specified in sort orders. There may be another setting to attend to.

Hi,
I found the solution to this problem. For anyone else who may have this same issue, if you look in the Properties of the PowerCube under the Processing tab. The Optimization drop-down selection had said "Categories". I changed it to the "Default (auto-partition)" selection, reran the cube update, and my problem went away. All the categories in the cube are now ordered correctly, either alphabetically or numerically. Here is what the Help facility says about categories optimization:

Categories Minimizes the number of categories in a cube. Transformer adds only categories that are referenced in the source data or specifically designated to be included. Categories optimization requires an extra data pass for each cube to find the categories required for that cube.Note: This is the default optimization setting for models created in Transformer versions prior to 6.0.
