I have a few laptop that i need to issue to staff. My problem is that i need the staff to be able to install software taht they use for home use. Ie Macromedia etc. The Problem is when ever they go to install it says they require admin rights. Is there anyway around this other than giving them admin access which is not an option

You could try running the application I have discussed in thread779-676827

You could create a batch file that the users can edit which would point to the installation file. i.e. d:\setup.exe.

then using the software discussed in the above thread create a exe that allows the bat file to be run as the administrator.

Not sure if it will work? Also There is a setting that will allow users to install applications that use windows installer to have system privledges while being installed.

Start Run GPEDIT.msc

User Config > Admin Templates > Windows Components > Windows Installer > Always Install with Elevated Priviledges.
