I am a little confused with the computer power supply. My current supply (300W) has all the power outlets taken up. This is only used to power my two hard drives and two CD-ROMs.

I recently got a thermaltake crystal orb (video card chipset fan), and I had to run it from a case fan plug on the motherboard (as I have no spare power supplies and the 3-prong fitting didn't fit the card).

I now want to add 3 case fans and have no power supplies left. If I purchase say a 450W power supply, will this supply more power outlets? How would I go about adding more fans?

Thanks all,

Samson

Generally speaking the better branded power supplies do have more power connectors, just ask the supplier for details.
Not knowing exactly your system specs I can only guess by what you have said that a 300watter is a bit border line for your needs.
Having said this don't be fooled by numbers alone! when it comes to power supples quality is definately more important than quantity, go for a recommended and well known PSU like Enermax, Vantec, Enlight etc, their quoted outputs are generally conservative and not hopful optimism
