Evening All...
I've been trying for a while now to set power options on a large number of laptops that have been rolled out for a client. The laptops all use encrypted hd's which do not support standby so we need to turn standby off for all of them. Neddless to say standard users do not have access to change these settings...I have so far altered the powercfg reg key in HKLM but can't change the one for CU via a GPO. I have also tried using powercfg from command line but that fails, can't seem to get regini to work keither to modify the keys under HKCU, run as won't work either as I don't want to tell them the admin PW!
At my whits end...due to the nature of the data on these systems using a third party untrusted tool is not an option either, I know i'm missing something simple here...HELP
