Power Point 2000 organizational chart problem

if i go new slide, choose organizational chart, then double click on the chart on the presentation i get the error
"Microsoft Powerpoint cant start the application required to open this project. An error occured and this feature is no longer functioning properly, would you like to repair this feature now?". if you click yes it goest through the motions of installing then another error comes up
"The server application, source file, or item can't be found, or returned an unknown error. you may need to reinstall the server application".

i have office 2k pro installed, frontpage 2003 and microsoft photo editor 97. any ideas on how to sort this problem.

Do you by any chance Win2K SP3? I seem to remember a gliche that caused an error in PowerPoint, tnat reinstalling PowerPoint was the only cure.

running windows xp pro with sp2. office has sp3 installed. i tried it with as office sr1 and with sp3. doing the same on both. i was reading about the 97 problem and it was a conflict of version on ms organizational chart version 2 and an older version.
