I keep receiving a "postscript error" fault with "get"
whilst trying to print from Quark express 4.1

It is installed on Mac O/S 8.5 and printing to a HP Laserjet 5, All other apps are able to print correctly and if I create a simple Quark DOC I am able to print that - the proble lies with existing docs.

I do not know anything about MAC's so all help would be gratefully received.

Graham--

Are the docs you are trying to print 4.1 docs, or perhaps they are earlier versions? You might try resaving the doc as a 4.1 doc. And be sure to double check the page setup and print setup and make sure they're both using the same printer PPD.

Check whether you can print individual pages in Quark. If you can, it could be a picture box element.

Would recommend trashing your Quark prefs and allowing it to rebuild.

Good old fashioned rebuild the desktop first though.

Create a new document and start taking the elements from the problem document one by one, starting with the picture boxes and placing them onto the new document. everytime you drag a element off of the old document and place it onto the new document try printing the old one without the removed elements. Sometimes it's just a picture that may have been saved as a jpeg the is stopping the file from printing, Or a corupped font that may need to be reinstalled.[3eyes]
