Since Release 5.00 has multiple ESDNs, can I program 9-911 as a second ESDN?

NO! Doing so will break your E911 configuration!!

A little know fact is that the DDGT prompt is ONLY used for CAMA trunks out of the PBX. It is NOT used for PRI trunk types.

Therefore if you programmed 9-911 as a second ESDN as follows:

CODE
LD 24
REQ CHG
TYPE ESA
CUST 0

ENTR 0
ESDN 9911
RLI 911
DDGT 911

This would actually pass 9911 out of a PRI since the DDGT parameter is ignored!

DO NOT DO THIS OR YOU WILL BREAK YOUR E9-1-1 DIALING!!

*******

If you were to set the RLB Entry in LD 86 to delete all digits (3) and insert 911 using a DMI (DGT in same load) then the calls will pass. Just a thought.

Actually the correct way to do this is to set it for local termination and delete nothing. The first 9 is automatically dropped because it is the bars/nars acod.
