I am running Windows XP and when I log onto my computer, it acts as though I have never logged on before. I tried deleting my profile, but it continues with the same behavior. I get a message that my Norton realtime protection has been disabled, but the shield icon does not indicate that it is disabled. If I open up Norton and look under Configuration the realtime box is not checked. I check it and click OK, but when I come back in, it is unchecked. Something is turning off my antivirus.

I tried an online scan at Symantec, McAfee, and Trend and they all come up clean. I'm thinking it has to be a virus. Any ideas?

Thanks

Thanks, the restore point got me back in much better shape than I was. It's still a little glitchy, but not near as bad as it was. When I get time, I might just back off the important stuff and do a full restore.

Thanks
