Hello,

I have an Access 2000DB that is approximately 6 years old. Recently, some of the queries which the forms in the database are built upon are losing their visible property for no particular reason. Once you fix the property it works fine for a few weeks and then does it again.

I am thinking that since this database is aging that it might be wise to recreate the queires and see if that corrects my problem. Is there anything else I should check before I take such measures?

Any help is appreciated!

Jim

You could try transferring all of the objects in the database into a fresh mdb file.

Assuming your dbase is called "MyDb.mdb"

1. Create a new, blank Access dbase, "MyDb2.mdb"

2. Select File -> Get External Data -> Import

3. In the import dialog, browse to MyDb.mdb

4. Select all tables, queries, forms, etc.

I use this technique frequently to deal with mdbs that have just gone "bad".

Good luck.
